Can you drive a Smart Car at 16 in the UK?

Smart cars are really small and you can get some which are 50cc can you drive these at 16 with a provisional license.|||No, they are not 50cc! Smart cars are (from what I can find) 600 and 800CC. According to the Directgov website, you have to be 17 - good luck getting affordable insurance at that age on a Smart, though!|||No, it's still a car so you have to wait until you're 17 for that. Moped for now...|||Yes. On private land with the land owner's permission the same as any other car. You can't drive a car on public roads until the age of 17.|||sadly you must be 17! you can get a moped at 16 though!|||No.


You can only start to learn to drive at 17.
