Smart car?

are they really that great? they are coming out in the US next year and idk if i want one. apparently the gas mileage sucks for distance trips.|||the smart cars are not primerally about milage, although they do pretty well. Their main role is size and manuverability and parking in a dense , urban enviornment. Given their size and power, I would have real doubts of taking them out on the interstate at speed. They are very common in the cities of Europe that have traffic that is worse than NYC or the Loop. The ones I saw could drive into a parking space head first and with a little twist at the end, tuck right into a space about 8 feet long. They accelerate well for their size, hence the lower gas milage than you would expect for their power. The two seater would be ideal for city commute (except for the price) The 4 seater and convertable are a waste of money given the cost of a corrola, civic or Mini. Maybe in Europe a person could use one for an only car but in the US given our hi way system and distances, you would be a brave masocist to use a Smart Car for more than 50 miles with more than 2 people!!|||Hey, I live in NYC. My dumb 94 civic is smarter than most people here.
