Fixing a smart car engine with loss of compression in one cyclinder?

On returning from a long drive south london, the engine management light came on and I lost power. A local garage diagnosed loss of compression in one cyclinder and a damaged spark plug in that cylinder but said the enginer would need to be opened up. Can anyone advise where I can get the engine opened up for a reasonable price in south east london.|||A damaged spark plug usually is an indication of a thrown connecting rod bearing.Probably put a hole in the piston and scored the crankshaft.Could of damaged the valves, pushrods, lifters, etc.

Complete rebuild = $$$$$$$$$$$$

|||sorry but it sounds like you will be needing to rebuild your motor or put in a new one, that won't be cheap ANYWHERE.
